about
‘Shit’s a Thing’ is second single from the ‘thundering rampant beast’ that is Super American Eagle.
Relatively new to the scene, Super American Eagle have had a big year since releasing their first single ‘Yes’ last July. They completed a month-long residency at Shotkickers in April, played support and co-headline shows with bands such as Guitar Wolf, The Meanies and CHILD, and they played to a packed room at Cherry Rock. Speaking of cherries, the absolute cherry on top of the Super American Eagle sundae was Iggy Pop spinning one of their tunes on his BBC6 radio show… he even sang along.
The band has crafted a visually stunning, dance-infused music video for the single, capturing the electrifying atmosphere that is Super American Eagle. Filmed backstage at The Prince in St. Kilda, prepare to be mesmerized by their infectious energy and captivating visuals.
About ‘Shit’s a Thing’, the band say:
“’Shit's A Thing’ is a warning to your partner or potential partner that they might wanna have a think about sticking with you, cause if they do...well shit, they might end up like you.”
lyrics
You wanna see me? Yeah you must not believe
I’ve got these problems, yeah you might wanna leave
This shit’s a thing that your brain is gonna be
You wanna score now? Yeah it just might be cheap
I’ve got this fever, yeah you might wanna leave
Stick around baby, this is what you’ll be
You wanna see me? Yeah you must not believe
I’ve got these problems, yeah you might wanna leave
This shit’s a thing that your brain is gonna be

They're super because they're called Super American Eagle. They're super because they comprised of The Dandy Warhols’
drummer Brent DeBoer, Courtney Barnett's long-time drummer Dave Mudie aka solo artist L.A. Mood (on bass), and guitarist Bob Harrow, who has previously played with both Brent and Dave (and for a while Courtney Barnett) in the wonderful psych-country folk-rockers Immigrant Union....more
